Spring Break ~ destination unknown

Since we had abandoned our original spring break plans of driving an RV to California we needed a Plan B.  We couldn't decide what to do or where to go.  Our final two options were either go to Cannon Beach, OR or drive south toward San Fransisco and see where we end up.  Kevin headed to Sunnyside that morning to drop the RV off so either way we would be in Portland.  We decided once we got there we would make a decision.  Packing our car with wetsuits, sleeping bags and beach toys we were headed for some kind of beach.  After loading bikes and unloading bikes on the car we were off!

To RV or NOT to RV...? and Happy 12th year anniversary

Kevin is dying to buy and RV, so I told him we better try it out before we buy one.  So we had this great idea to take a road trip from Washington to Southern Utah then to the beach.  On our 12 year anniversary we packed the kids up to go on a little day trip.  We started with breakfast in Spokane at CHAPS.  So delicious, especially their custard oatmeal. We then made our way through the inland northwest for the day, ending in CDA to watch a movie with the kids.  We enjoyed the scenery but realized this RV was too slow and California would be too far in this RV we were able to borrow from a friend.  We did enjoy our day and anniversary!

Surprise in Seattle

Kevin surprised me and and flew in Stephanie for a weekend in Seattle.  I picked her up at the airport on a Friday and we drove to Moses Lake to get Grandma Jeanie.  It was fun to have the 4 1/2 hour drive to visit.  We had such beautiful spring weather, we just walked and shopped.  On Saturday, Stephanie and I went for a morning bike ride up to the Queen Anne neighborhood and enjoyed looking at the fabulous houses.  Spent some time with Grandma and Jeanie then went for another bike ride in the afternoon.

We rode to the Ballard Locks

We laughed until we cried... love sister time!

It was a great weekend with my family. So thankful to have a husband who arranges things like this for me.  He is the BEST!

Ski Season

We had the best winter this year skiing!  We weren't planning on having everyone up on ski's but Jude showed interest so we thought we would try it out.  We bought him some blue "wobot" ski's and away he went.  This was such a better way to spend the winter than at home or sitting in the lodge.  Beatrice started skiing this year too.  She did a few mini moose classes and did great.  Kevin is living his dream of having his whole family in ski's up on the mountain.

We like it so much we even wear our stuff at home;)

We had a big kid mom ski day!

All tuckered out in the lodge

Mommy ski day, and a Dad ski day too
